Interior Design Atelier — Kigali, Rwanda · Est. 2013

Rooms that holdtheir silence.Furniture thatkeeps its word.

NDB designs interiors and builds the furniture inside them — one atelier, one standard, from first sketch to final installation.

Chapter 01 — The Atelier

Most interiors are assembled from catalogues. Ours are authored in a workshop.

Since 2013, NDB has worked as a single atelier in Gasabo, Kigali: interior designers, master carpenters, upholsterers, welders and installation teams under one roof. We don’t source your furniture — we draw it, machine it, join it, upholster it, and place it in the room it was designed for. That is why an NDB interior feels inevitable rather than decorated.

A family living room, a boutique restaurant, a clinic, a headquarters — every commission passes through the same hands and the same three inspection gates, to Rwanda Standards Board practice.

Chapter 02 — What We Design

Full-scope design, backed by our own factory.

Our drawings never get lost in translation — the people who sketch your space share a roof with the people who build it.

Chapter 03 — Made in the Workshop

Signature pieces, straight off the bench.

Chapter 04 — The Hand Behind It

Every piece starts as a conversation about cloth and timber.

Velvets, linens and performance weaves from our fabric library. Hardwoods and engineered timber, sourced locally where feasible. Three inspection gates — pre-production, in-process, final — before anything leaves Gasabo.
